Voting for the SouthWest Writers’ 2025 Executive Committee occurred online prior to the annual membership meeting as well as during the meeting on October 12, 2024. All nominees were elected and will begin their terms on January 1, 2025. Cornelia Gamlem continues in her position as SWW Treasurer.
President:
Judy Castleberry
As the 2024 Writing Contest Chair, Judy demonstrated decisively her ability to lead and organize. Her experience spans the writing world including grant writing, numerous articles on senior care and business, The Caregiver Zone A Guide to Senior Care, award winning stage plays, short stories, and creative nonfiction. She has worked in entrepreneurship support and healthcare administration assisting baby businesses and senior adults.
President-Elect:
Kimberly Rose
Kimberly Rose has a BA in English from University of New Mexico. She’s published several award-winning short stories and hopes to publish her first novel soon. She has worked as an EMT and currently works as a technical writer.
Secretary:
Lynn Doxon
Currently SWW secretary, Lynn has agreed to extend her talents and writing skills for another year. Lynn is a Horticulturist and served as state representative to the USDA for the Bernalillo County Master Gardeners program.
Treasurer:
Cornelia Gamlem
Cornelia is an “accidental author” who started writing when she collaborated with a colleague on The Big Book of HR. They’ve written seven more business books, a weekly blog, and columns and articles for other business publications and platforms. She’s served on SWW’s board since 2021.
