Bio
Thomas Neiman was born and educated in the Garden State of New Jersey, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics at Upsala College. He combined thirty-five years of military and federal service, beginning as an Air Traffic Controller in Texas, moving to New Mexico in 1978, and completing his career as a System Specialist with the Federal Aviation Administration in Albuquerque. In 2008 his life changed dramatically. Tom retired, married his sweetheart Gretchen and moved to Corrales. He began volunteering his time to local civic groups including the Sandoval County Master Gardeners and the Rio Rancho Tree Stewards. One day he pitched an idea to a neighbor and wrote a one-act play. The writing seed was planted. In 2012 he was invited to join a newly-formed writer’s club. With help from the members, an 800-word summary evolved into “The Leather Truths.” During the last three years Tom has written short stories, a mystery novella, and is outlining a novel. Tom hopes to entertain, tell a good story and add value to the reader’s day.
